About

Deal. Heal. Grow

Hi! I'm Lyndsey Williams. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) specializing in maternal mental health treatment. When it comes to pregnancy anything can happen. I'm here to support you when that 'anything' shows up. I help women who have mood concerns during and after pregnancy, who may have lost a pregnancy or don't who know if pregnancy is right for them. I assist clients with postpartum adjustment as they bring their babies home and are getting used to a new life. I collaborate with clients who want help with planning their pregnancy. I give counseling to patients who have heard unpleasant news about their pregnancies or who have babies in the NICU. I use therapeutic interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy techniques (ACT) within a supportive psychotherapy model to treat my clients. I am certified through Postpartum Support International (PMH-C) and Seleni Institute. I am a Maryland native. I attended Morgan State University and University of Maryland Baltimore (Masters of Social Work). I have worked in different capacities within the Maternal Child Health field for over 10 years. The bulk of those years I have been an outpatient OB/GYN mental health provider at renowned hospitals on the east and west coasts. I decided to start Kyla Care Therapy to expand my services in the community offering quality and accessible mental health care. Women are different all around the world, but one thing we have in common is the ability to give and sustain life. My career is dedicated to supporting women as they tackle this unique and special task!
